Cross border
India to United Kingdom trade exhibitions and missions.
Nessora runs cross-border exhibition programmes between India and the United Kingdom, covering pavilion space, delegate logistics, UK visa documentation, customs clearance and a diary of pre-qualified British buyers.
- Delegation size
- 15 to 80 exhibitors
- Lead time
- 5 to 9 months
- Sample route
- ATA Carnet
- Both directions
- India ⇄ UK

Both directions
We run this corridor each way.
India to United Kingdom
For Indian exporters, export councils and state trade bodies reaching British buyers.
- The shortest route into Europe for an Indian exporter: shared language, familiar contract law, and a buying culture that will take a first meeting on the strength of a sample.
- Post-Brexit sourcing has pushed British importers to look beyond the EU, and Indian suppliers are frequently the first alternative they assess seriously.
- A dense retail and hospitality buying base concentrated in a small geography, so a three-day show can reach national distribution.
United Kingdom to India
For British brands and producers seeking Indian distribution, agents or channel partners.
- British brands entering India usually need a distributor or an agent rather than a direct sales presence, and that is a relationship-led search rather than a listing exercise.
- Indian buyers respond to provenance and certification, both of which British food, engineering and professional-services exporters tend to have in order already.
- Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Chennai behave like four separate markets, so a single-city programme almost always undersells the opportunity.

Sectors with the strongest pull
Where British demand is deepest
- Food & beverage
- Textiles & apparel
- Engineering & manufacturing
- Pharmaceuticals & life sciences
- IT & technology services
These are where we see the shortest route to a first order. They are not a restriction: the delegation and pavilion work is sector-agnostic, and what we test is whether a real buyer base exists for your category in United Kingdom.
Also going the other way?
Delegations into India work from New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad, on an Indian e-Business Visa or Business Visa.
The paperwork
Visas and customs for United Kingdom.
UK Standard Visitor visa
Indian delegates travel on a Standard Visitor visa endorsed for business activity. We prepare the invitation letter, the itinerary and the supporting documentation that the application asks for, and we build the timeline around the current appointment waits rather than the published processing target.
Samples, freight and customs
ATA Carnet is accepted for exhibition samples, which is almost always the cleanest route in and out. Commercial imports clear under UK customs procedures, and food, cosmetics and medical devices each carry their own labelling and approval requirements that have to be settled before freight moves.
We are not immigration advisers or customs brokers. We prepare and coordinate the documentation, work with licensed brokers at both ends, and own the schedule, including enough slack for one thing to go wrong without the stand standing empty.
How it runs
Brief to report, one lead.
- 01
Brief
We take the objective before the format. What has to be true after this event that is not true now: a listing, a distributor, a launch date met, a room that renews next year.
- 02
Proposal
A written scope with a costed budget, a venue or show shortlist, a date-by-date plan and a clear statement of what sits with us and what stays with you.
- 03
Build
Contracting, design, production, permissions and paperwork. You get one project lead and a single schedule, not four suppliers with different versions of the truth.
- 04
Delivery
Our crew is on site from install to derig. Whatever happens on the day is ours to solve; you should be talking to guests, buyers and press.
- 05
Report
Numbers and outcomes against the original objective, plus the assets, the lead list and an honest note on what we would change next time.
Questions
India to United Kingdom, answered.
How long does an India to UK trade mission take to organise?
Five to nine months. The long pole is rarely the stand: it is visa appointments for the delegation and recruiting enough qualified British buyers to fill an appointment diary before anyone books a flight. We would rather decline a compressed brief than deliver one where the hall is full of exhibitors and empty of buyers.
Which UK exhibitions are worth an Indian exporter's budget?
It depends entirely on the category. Spring Fair in Birmingham reaches gift, home and retail buyers; IFE in London is the food and drink route; Advanced Engineering at the NEC serves industrial supply chains. We test whether the show's actual visitor profile matches your buyer before recommending it, and we will say when a standalone showcase would work better than a stand.
Do you handle UK visas for the delegation?
We prepare and coordinate everything around the application: invitation letters, itineraries, accommodation confirmations and the supporting pack. We are not immigration advisers, so advice on an individual application stays with a regulated adviser, and we will tell you when a delegate needs one.
Other markets we run
