Cross border

India to Europe trade exhibitions and missions.

Nessora runs cross-border exhibition programmes between India and continental Europe, built around the German, French and Italian trade fair calendar, with Schengen visa documentation, carnet freight and pre-qualified European buyers.

Both directions

We run this corridor each way.

India to Europe

For Indian exporters, export councils and state trade bodies reaching European buyers.

  • Germany is the centre of gravity for global trade fairs. For many categories the leading show on earth is in Frankfurt, Cologne or Düsseldorf, which means one week can substitute for a year of market visits.
  • The single market means a distributor won in one country can carry a product across twenty-six others, so the value of a single strong meeting is disproportionate.
  • European buyers scrutinise compliance early: CE marking, REACH, EUDR and food contact rules come up in the first meeting, not the last.

Europe to India

For European brands and producers seeking Indian distribution, agents or channel partners.

  • European brands entering India tend to arrive with strong product and weak channel. The work is finding importers and distributors who can actually service the territory they claim.
  • Price architecture is the usual sticking point. A European retail price rarely survives Indian duty and margin structures without being rebuilt.
  • Indian trade fairs are growing quickly, and early European entrants still get disproportionate attention on the floor.

Sectors with the strongest pull

Where European demand is deepest

  • Engineering & manufacturing
  • Automotive & mobility
  • Food & beverage
  • Textiles & apparel
  • Energy & renewables

These are where we see the shortest route to a first order. They are not a restriction: the delegation and pavilion work is sector-agnostic, and what we test is whether a real buyer base exists for your category in Europe.

Also going the other way?

Delegations into India work from New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad, on an Indian e-Business Visa or Business Visa.

The paperwork

Visas and customs for Europe.

01

Schengen short-stay business visa

Delegates apply for a Schengen Type C visa through the consulate of the main destination country. Appointment availability varies sharply between consulates and between seasons, so the delegation timeline is built around the slowest one rather than the average.

02

Samples, freight and customs

ATA Carnet covers exhibition samples across the Schengen area on a single document, which is the main practical advantage of a European programme over a multi-country tour elsewhere. Commercial consignments clear into the customs union once and move freely afterwards.

We are not immigration advisers or customs brokers. We prepare and coordinate the documentation, work with licensed brokers at both ends, and own the schedule, including enough slack for one thing to go wrong without the stand standing empty.

How it runs

Brief to report, one lead.

  1. 01

    Brief

We take the objective before the format. What has to be true after this event that is not true now: a listing, a distributor, a launch date met, a room that renews next year.

  2. 02

    Proposal

A written scope with a costed budget, a venue or show shortlist, a date-by-date plan and a clear statement of what sits with us and what stays with you.

  3. 03

    Build

Contracting, design, production, permissions and paperwork. You get one project lead and a single schedule, not four suppliers with different versions of the truth.

  4. 04

    Delivery

Our crew is on site from install to derig. Whatever happens on the day is ours to solve; you should be talking to guests, buyers and press.

  5. 05

    Report

Numbers and outcomes against the original objective, plus the assets, the lead list and an honest note on what we would change next time.

Questions

India to Europe, answered.

Which European trade fairs matter most for Indian exporters?

Germany hosts the leading global fair in a striking number of categories: Ambiente in Frankfurt for consumer goods, Anuga in Cologne for food and drink, drupa in Düsseldorf for print. France and Italy lead in others, notably SIAL in Paris and Salone del Mobile in Milan. The right answer is category-specific, and we will tell you when the leading show is not the right first show.

Does one Schengen visa cover a multi-country European programme?

Yes. A Schengen Type C visa issued by the main destination country covers travel across the Schengen area for the permitted period, which is what makes a two-city or three-city European programme practical on a single application.

What compliance should an Indian exporter settle before a European show?

Whatever applies to the category, and before freight moves rather than after. CE marking for many manufactured goods, REACH for chemicals and materials, food contact and labelling rules for food and packaging. European buyers raise these in the first conversation, and an exhibitor who cannot answer loses the meeting regardless of the product.
